As the new year begins, I thought it would be fitting to show how much manufacturing has evolved to the point where we are starting to call it “Modern Manufacturing”.
What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of manufacturing?
Most, if not all of you would think of oily floors, along with hard labor, dangerous working conditions, and long hours.
We are not saying that working at a CNC machine shop isn't going to be a bit dirty and oily by the end of the day, but hard work is always needed by everyone to make exceptionally good parts and components.
What a lot of people don't understand is that now that we are in the 21st century, machinists are not tied to our machines per say, but rather we are using our skills and abilities elsewhere. Now employees work with their hands, minds, and equipment to create parts and components.

The machines now do most of the job for you. With software programs, setups, and advanced technology, your job is to program and run the machine and keep an eye on the products it makes. Allowing the operator to focus on quality, precision, and innovation.
Manufacturing companies are always looking for potential employees wanting to use their skills and knowledge to succeed. Especially in Industry 4.0 coming into the new year.
